NOTE: If you are looking to get a Move Quote for an out-of-state move, Please use the "Find a Mover" Search to your right.
A Long Distance Move is a move that takes you out of your home or "origin" state.
Three major factors that will determine your final move cost:
Distance between the two locations.
The weight, volume and cubic feet of space of your shipment.
Whether or not your boxes are packed and ready go when the movers arrive.
Tips to Select a Long Distance Company:
Insurance: request that they place a copy of their insurance form together with the estimate form. Licensed moving companies are required to provide limited liability at no additional cost. Additional coverage may be purchased for a premium.
References: we strongly recommend you ask your mover to provide you with recent written (1-2 months back) references. Take the time to call!
Licensing: if you’re moving long distance, Request the mover to attached to your Order For Service a copy of his authority.
