A car carrier usually will not insure the contents you have left in the car while it’s in their possession, other than necessary items such as a spare tire and jack. Therefore, we strongly recommend removing all unnecessary items from your vehicle.
When your car is being picked up, a Car Condition Report must be completed and signed by you and the company driver. This report will include: pickup date, origin address, delivery address, make, year, model, color, mileage, vehicle identification number and a detailed report on the condition of the car. A copy of this report should be given to you before the vehicle departs. You will want to keep a photocopy of your registration and insurance paperwork for the vehicle in the glove compartment. To be on the safe side you may also wish to take photographs of your car from different angles to serve as a visual record.
